Delegates meeting 2009 and Shagya-Araber symposium will take place at LVZ Futterkamp near Baltic Sea. It is an official education and training center for any agricutural professions. It offers a great number of seminars every year and already had more than 10.000 participants in seminars of stuff about horses.
To keep close contact between theoretical seminars and practical exercises they run a farm with 196 ha agricultural fields, 180 milking cows living in an open moden stable and their offspring and more than 800 pigs. The farm offers part of its facilities for exercises of students and part of it for testing farming facilities. It runs an approved integrated management system. They installed different solar collecting systems and use farming stuff to produce energy by fermenting. There are permanent open horse stables and automatical feeding facilities for horses.
Futterkamp is location of the official education facilities for equine professionals. It has a permanent BauLehrSchau which is a exhibition of many business partners for building farms including horse stables, riding areas and pasture facilities. They run modern energy technology. They offer a number of seminars for riding, driving and horse breeding and keeping people and already had more than 10.000 participants in this courses.
LVZ Futterkamp is situated directly at mainroad B202, about 30 km west of Oldenburg/Holstein, which has an highway exit called "Oldenburg Süd" from highway A1 (Vogelflug-Linie) which connects Hamburg, Oldenburg, Lübeck and Puttgarden (see attached map). Scandinavian ferries stop at harbour in Puttgarden, which is about 50 km to go. Next airport is Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel, about 130 km. Every hour there is a quick comfortable bus called Kielius connecting Kiel main station with airport of Hamburg. We will install a shutlle service from Kiel main station to Futterkamp.
LVZ Futterkamp offers conference rooms, accomodation and cafeteria service.
Practical parts of our workshops and presentation of Northern Europes Shagya-Arabian population may take place in the covered riding arena (20 x 60 m) or at the outdoor arena. LVZ offers boxes to rent for our horses.
